Pepco’s high level DC Climate Solutions Plan strategy was filed with the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (PSC) on July 20, with a 5-year portfolio of actionable programs and plans in support of this strategy to be filed on October 1.
Pepco representatives will share information on our guiding principles for deploying climate solutions, including affordability, equity and inclusion, and interactivity, which will significantly shape future program designs. A preview of the program elements currently in development will be addressed along with how Pepco’s DC Climate Solutions Plan enables deep decarbonization in the District. Speakers include:
- Melissa Lavinson, Senior Vice President, Governmental and External Affairs, Pepco Holdings
- David Schatz, Director of Strategy, Utility of the Future, Pepco Holdings
During the briefing, Pepco will also present the findings from our electrification study which will be filed with the PSC on August 27. This study will provide an overview of the ability of the District’s electric grid to enable a highly electrified future, in alignment with the District of Columbia’s climate change policies and decarbonization goals. Pepco will also provide an overview and schedule of future filings in support of our Climate Solutions Plan and directives in the PSC’s Order in Formal Case 1167.
